History

2010

• We successfully finished key projects in Germany including installations for Pro7Sat1 and Focus TV.
• ELVIA-PRO continued to be a main supplier of HD technology for the Czech TV including routing, studio and monitoring facilities.
• We were attending the IBC2010 in Amsterdam showing out products and solutions including DSNG, furniture and special devices like new HockeyCam HD.

2009

• In spring we opened new metal manufacturing hall for building OB vans with a total amount of area 700 m2.
• For Russia market we made a one terrain DSNG van and two small OB vans based at VW transporter.
• In September we took part at IBC 2009, where we met some of our new abroad clients - you will see in Referencies.

2008

• This year was in the name of grow of our manufacturing facilities - we reconstructed and builded new hall for metal manufacturing and for OB vans.
• Durign this year we buildit 6 OB vans, two from them travelled abroad to Srbia and Syria, four of them was for ours traditional customers - Český rozhlas, Czech TV, TV Nova a ACE company.
• At Kavčí hory we made for Czech TV new master control facility and with our deliveries and work we took part at building of new studios for new TV stations TV Barrandov and Z1.

2007

• We made a huge reconstruction of news studio SK 6 and recording premises TMZ 4 for Czech TV in Prague.
• For Czech TV Prague we build and delivered big audio OB van for live concerts and big theatre events.
• In Czech TV Ostrava we delivered and installed new studio complex in Radvanice. Together with reconstruction of complex RK 1 and head-end room TOP.
• For Czech TV Brno we build and delivered a 5-cam OB van.

2006

• This year we began with manufacture and installation of intercom system and audio matrix for experimental scene of National Theater - Laterna Magika.
• Activities on the field of TV rating in electronic medias are turnign to incomming digitalization - so we developed a DVB-T and personal TV rating system.

2005

• In this summer we get a certificate of quality control ISO 9001/2001.
• For TV NOVA we realized complete TV system for reality show Big Brother.
• In September we presented our work at IBC in Amsterdam with the ACE OB trailer.
• We spread our service facility to Prague 5, Na Bělidle street.
• We took part at buliding of new TV channel ČT24 in komplex SK 9 at Prague Kavčí Hory.

2004

• In first quarter of year we finished a TV system in Sazka Arena.
• We continued in many-year cooperation with ACE production company and we are building for them the biggest OB van (trailer) in Czech republic.
• In this year we realised first big international contracts for Vietnam TV station VTV and we sign a contract for assemly of 14-cam OB van for Petrohrad TV station TRK.

2003

• In this year we made a big contract for Český Telecom on delivery of 14 rebroadcast transmitter vans.
• We build a huge audio and video presentation system in Olympus company headquarter.
• Start of deliveries and building of complete TV system in Sazka Arena in Prague.

2002

• Digitalization of technical control room and modernization of cameras in studio RK 1 TV Prima in Prague at Palmovka.
• Delivery of next two digital studio complexes and non-linear cutting rooms for company Kabel Plus Sport in building Sazka in Prague Vysočany.
• In this year is ELVIA expanding their manufacture capacity - ELVIA-PRO bought areal of Léčiva which is next in Poděbradská street.
• We took part at internationall exhibitions IBC in Amsterdam and TRBE in Moscau.

2001

• Development a beginning of manufacture of digital video switchers line EMS-100D.
• Delivery and assembly of new digital head-end room EMS-124D for TV Prima at Palmovka.
• One of the biggest and modernest 8-cameras digital OB van for TV NOVA.
• New TV studio for Kabel Plus Sport for broadcasting lottery games from Sazka.

2000

• Four-camera digital OB van for Czech TV in Prague.
• Two-camera DSNG news van for TV Nova.
• Head-end room and reequipment of TV studio and cutting room for TV 3 in Prague.
• Complete reconstruction of studio lines in Czech TV in Prague Kavčí Hory.
• ENG van with telescopic antenna pole for České radiokomunikace in Brno.
• Three rebroadcast transmitter vans for České radiokomunikace – area Prague.
• Complete internal TV studio with remote controlled cameras for Senate of Parliament of Czech Republic.

1999

• First big five-camera digital OB van ELVIA for TV production company ACE (mostly used for TV Prima).
• Step-by-step equipping of new transmitting and production capacities of TV Nova in Prague on Barrandov (Česká produkční 2000) with digital technology (head end, news studio, multipurpose TV studio, cutting rooms).
• Six-camera OB van for TV Nova.
• ENG van with telescopic antenna pole for České radiokomunikace.

1998

• Complex delivery of digital technology for studio A of TV Nova (ČNTS) in building Měšťanská beseda in Prague (Vladislavova street).
• Moving of TV Prima from Congress center in Prague Pankrác to new object in Prague Palmovka – head room, extended technical control, modernized and digitalized TV studio and all the temporary equipment of news studio . All the moving runs over without interruption of broadcasting.
• Complete delivery of small OB vans on the key – two cameras OB van for Czech TV in Brno and DSNG van for TV Nova (ČNTS).
• Development and realization of decentralized remote system of switching contribution lines with remote control for České radiokumunikace.
• Switching and control system for TV and Radio Broadcast for České radiokomunikace – area South Moravia.

1997

• ELVIA becomes authorized and exclusive dealer for Leitch and Vinten-Radamec technologies.
• Digitalization and complete reconstruction of TV studios SK7 and SK8 in the news object Czech TV in Prague (this action followed on new cameras delivery from past year).
• Reconstruction of monitoring facilities for TV and Radio broadcasting for České radiokomunikace in area of Northern Moravia.
• Realization of huge TV system for monitoring technology of uranium mining liquidation line in Stráž pod Ralskem.

1996

• Acquisition of the former building site of Vyzkumny ustav matematickych stroju on Podebradska street in Prague 9 - Hloubetin. Followed by moving from Holesovice to these new buildings. ELVIA has seat theretill these days.
• Development and production of the modular distribution system ELSYSTEM based on plug-in cards for audio, video and control lines.
• ELVIA becomes authorized distributor of the CANON lenses and other optical products.
• Modernization of the TV equipment in TV Premiera (today its PRIMA TV and COOL TV) step-by-step in the Prague Congress Center - multipurpose studio, news studio, master control, head-end and full automatized master control room.
• Switching and control systems for the TV and radio stations for Slovak radiocommunications Kosice and Sucha Hora and for the Czech telecommunications in North of the Czech Republic - Morava as well.

1995

• Development and production start of the production switchers model line EMS-100.
• Complex TV equipment delivery for first private Slovak TV channel VTV Bratislava - TV Studio, head-end, master control, edit suite, etc which used as a first Digital Betacam format purely for the studio and on-air applications.
• Navigating system installation for the portal crane in the nuclear power plant first reactor chamber Dukovany.

1994

• ELVIA became Sony accredited partner and authorized dealer of Sony.
• Complex delivery of the TV equipment for news center of Czech TV in Prague - edit suits, international exchange working-sites, dubbing studios and main control room.
• Complete installation of the digital TV studio for Czech TV in Ostrava - it was the first studio in the Czech Republic capable produce movies in wideangle mode 16:9 (instead of the classic 4:3 format).

1993

• Deliveries of the dubbing studios culminate especially for Kratky film, Videoprepss, Kabel Plus Ostrava etc.
• Deliveries of the broadcast TV and computer equipment for company Meteopress, which prepares TV weather forecast programs.
• Scenic and TV technology for game show RISK at TV Nova, later that for many similar programs, like Kolotoc etc.

1992

• New company premises on street Na Maninach in Prague - Holesovice - moving of the manufacture and service facility.
• Development and beginning of the production - cross switch boxes ELICROSS for the broadcast purposes.
• Start and rapid grow of deliveries of the copier lines (videocopy). Followed by large number of dubbing studios (Intersonic, ABCD, Videopress etc.).
• Realisation of many turn-key broadcast stations for Kabel Plus in Ostrava, followed by Prague and next ones in Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia.

1991

• From the small family business ELVIA spol.s r.o. becomes company concentrating on manufacturing, installation and service.
• Sister company ELVIA-PRO spol. s r.o. founded, as a reseller of the consumer, broadcast & professional products, design and system integration activities.
• Development and design of the cross switch boxes for PAY TV systems - installation as well.

1990

• The Elvia group history started in year 1990, by Viktor Novak and Josef Dimmer in the family house in Prague 6 (Bila Hora). The name becomes from ELectronics + VIdeo + Audio = ELVIA. Soon after the establishment new partners Jiri Balcar, Petr Stejskal and Karel Zimola joined the former two engineers. The main business was driven in black and white video distributors and monitors.
• Membership on international exhibiton 100 years of the Czechoslovak manufacturing, where our new products were exhibited for the first time.
